Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada – (LINC) Home Study program
Organization: Thunder Bay Multicultural Association (TBMA)

Newcomer in Northwestern Ontario who are eligible for LINC , but unable to attend regular classes, can choose study English at home through the LINC Home Study Program. Minimum benchmarks apply. LINC Home Study lets participants learn English in the comfort of their own home using a computer or books and CDs. Common situations where Home Study is preferred are health issue(s) preventing classroom attendance, lack of transportation to classroom programs in the region, employment scheduling conflict(s) such as rotating shift work, lack of child-minding services in the LINC classroom programs, children too young for the child-minding program in the region.

We have an on-site Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes for various language levels. We also connect newcomers through mentorship and community events via our Community Connections Program.
