The goal of this full-time employment program is to help newcomers find their first Canadian job in their area of expertise. Participants get to discover Canadian work culture, get professional references, and find a job in their area of expertise. To be eligible to participate in this program, participants need to be able to speak one of the two official languages and not have worked in their area of expertise since arrival in Canada. The program specifically focuses on any profession in an office environment that does not require Canadian certification to practice. Ex: bookkeeper, administrative or executive assistant, HR assistant, web design, etc.
Program finds an unpaid placement in participant's field that can last up to 12 weeks (or less if participant get a job before), 24 hours a week. The remaining 11 hours is dedicated to an intensive job search.
