Participants learn about the software, terminology and procedures needed to work in the growing field of medical reception. Courses are offered in medical billing software, medical terminology, medical procedures and other essential skills needed to succeed in this field. This program has a 6-week unpaid work placement component.
Participants have a work placement of 6 weeks following completion of all modules. This program is designed specifically for clients of Toronto Employment and Social Services under an initiative called Skills Training Directly Linked to Employment (STDLE).
