Retail & Customer Service Skills
Organization: New Circles Community Services

This program includes a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience in their GLOW store, leading to a Retail Sales Associate certification through the Retail Council of Canada. Participants are taught how to operate a cash register, develop communication and problem-solving skills, and enhance confidence, time management, motivation and ability to work on a team skills. Participants also gain experience in sales, interactive customer service, inventory management, merchandising, loss prevention, workplace safety, and more.

New Circles Community Services is a not-for-profit, grass-roots agency that builds strong and caring communities by providing basic necessities to those living in poverty. It provides clothing, employment skills training, and settlement support to individuals living on a low-income (with a focus on residents of Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park, Victoria Village, Taylor-Massey, and Oakridge), as well as all Syrian and other government-assisted refugees across the city.
